The model for the first time is represented on the exhibition CeBIT'98, in sale - since the third quarter of a 1998. One from few in the world of two-standard telephones intended for work in a web GSM-900 and in the digital standard of home wireless telephones DECT.

For a basis the successful model Ericsson GH688 is taken, appearance of a means completely was saved also.

Working in a web GSM outside of an operative range of home basis(!on the basis of) DECT, the telephone is automatically switched to it(her) for want of approximation to basis(!on the basis of). Using standard protocol GAP, the means can be attached to several basises(!on the basis of) DECT simultaneously, allowing to create microcellular DECT a web. This property will help the user essentially to save on the traffic. The work in a web DECT will allow and to save resources(safe lifes) of the batterny.
